 Old system that being used by some hospital is still a paper based system. Patient data record, employee workflow, doctor and nurse schedule and activities are recorded using paper system. By implementing E-Hospital or HIS (Hospital Information System), this system would help any medical operation run by the hospital itself

 What is e-Hospital?  Benefits of e-Hospital  Example of e-Hospital

 is a socio-technical subsystem of a hospital which comprises all information processing as well as the associated human or technical actors in their respective information processing roles  Typical components of hospital information systems are enterprise functions, business processes, application components, and physical data processing systems

 Comfortable access to patient data  Cost effective  Betters interaction with patients  Improves efficiency  Lessens scope for error  Versatility is the key

 enhances information integrity  reduces transcription errors  reduces duplication of information entries  optimizes report turnaround times

Cerner Corporation (Cerner) is a supplier of healthcare information technology (HCIT) solutions, services, devices and hardware. Cerner solutions optimize processes for healthcare organizations

Cerner Corporation use the following features of E-Hospital:  Extended Care  Hospitals and Health Systems  Member Engagement  Medical Devices  Physician Practice  Pharmacies  Population Health Management  Research

Extended care provides a variety of settings ranging from home health care, assisted living organizations, skilled nursing facilities, and end of life hospice care.  Extended care are designed to increase operational efficiencies, maximize reimbursement and improve patient outcomes

Enable physicians, nurses and other authorized users to share data and streamline processes across an entire organization. An online “digital chart” displays up-to-date patient information in real time, complete with decision-support tools for physicians and nurses. Simple prompts allow swift and accurate ordering, documentation, and billing.

Helps to understand patient’s health, create a better relationship between doctors and patients and also give advice to patient on what patients can do to improve their health

Enables any area of a hospital to create an environment where all devices are integrated and contextually aware to ensure the right data is presented in the right format at the right time to improve health outcomes

Give doctors, nurses, and administrators the right information in the right place at the right time, so they can give patients the best care possible

Pharmacies connect pharmacists, nurses, physicians and administrators, keeping everyone informed and up to date. The effect is enhanced patient safety and an accurate record of every step for faster reimbursemen.

Managing a person’s health. A healthier overall population will maximize patient satisfaction and minimize resource consumption. Getting there requires complete, accurate patient data and meaningfully using that data to engage individuals at all times, exchange information between providers and ultimately drive better outcomes

Bring a deep understanding of clinical systems, workflows and health data, as well as extensive experience in pharmaceutical, outcomes and health economic research. Through medical and economic analyses, researchers gain insights into the viability, safety, and efficacy of new and existing therapies.
