Academic Coursework paired with a Community Based Work Program K - in their Junior and senior year. we run it three periods of the day and the students take academic coursework in addition

and have a bank account... Most Students in my class get ETP paychecks through the program. This is an excellent opportunity to teach finance skills. Before students are able to enroll in ETP, the family commits to allowing the ETP paycheck to be a learning tool...commitment to open a student bank account, commitment to working out a budget that everyone agrees on but the student is in charge of. opens doors for real deposit slips, monthly bank statement, filing taxes etc.
