WHAT IS A PRINT? A Picture that is produced so that it can be MULTIPLIED Usually done on WOOD, METAL, or STONE

Relief: Woodcuts Use negative/positive space Carve away parts you DO NOT want showing Raised surface (not carved) is inked to create a print

Intaglio Scratching into metal plate Ink stays in the scratches, and this part creates image Examples: Engraving, Etching

Lithograph Usually done on stone Draw image with crayon, cover with greasy paint (sticks to crayon) and Print

ScreenPrinting Force ink/paint through a screen onto paper/cloth Use a stencil on screen to create image
