4. Aims To reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere To provide pure CO 2 which can be used in Mining and formation of useful substances

5. Carbon Sequestration This is the artificial capture of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to a reservoir

Proposed Mechanism Carbon dioxide is captured from the air with NaOH NaOH + CO 2  Na 2 CO 3 + H 2 O Na 2 CO 3 is separated from Water Na 2 CO 3 is burnt to about 900°C in a kiln Na 2 CO 3  Na 2 O + CO 2 Na 2 O gotten is then dissolved in water to get NaOH for further capture  Na 2 O + H 2 O  2NaOH Pure CO 2 gotten and: 1.Reacted with Oxides to produce useful substances 2.Compressed and stored for useful purposes 3.Returned to the ground as form of oil recycle

8. Feasibility The mechanism proposed is very practicable For example a similar process was experimented in MIT on the 28 th February 2008. Most of the problems come from where to store the carbon after it has been captured However the problem can be solved if we employ more ways to manipulate the captured CO 2 gas.
