5 5 Electric Hot Water Heater- Residential Sector-- Proposal Pilot Program 800-1000 single family homes with electric hot water heaters with demand response controllers– prefer same distribution feeder We want to quantify both system and distribution benefits Potentially 40-50 electric furnaces with new smart two way communicating thermostats Two way communication through new AMI Cost- approx $1,000,000 (asking BPA to co-fund)
