2 Geschke/English IV Grammar Unit--Prepositions Prepositions A preposition is a word that shows the relationship of a noun or a pronoun to some other word in the sentence Prepositions point out different relationships

4 Geschke/English IV Grammar Unit--Prepositions Prepositional Phrase A preposition always introduces a phrase consisting of the preposition, any modifiers and a noun or pronoun. The noun or pronoun that ends the prepositional phrase is called the object of the preposition.

Number your paper 1-20 and write down each preposition and the object of the prepositional phrase. The number in parenthesis tells you how many prepositions are in that sentence.
