Lk 8.1-3; Mt 27.55; Acts 1.14 Luke 8:1-3 “Soon afterwards, He began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.”

Submission does not mean inferiority All are to be submission to elders (1 Pet 5.1-2) All to government (Rom 13.1) Slaves to masters (Eph 6.5f) Children to parents (Eph 6.1) Younger to the older (1 Pet 5.5) All to teachers and ministers (1 Cor 16.15-16) All to one another (Eph 5.21) Jesus to God the Father – 1 Cor 11.3 – Spiritual headship between equals. …Can women be active in ministry? Yes – Acts 18.26 But, with restrictions -- 1 Tim 2.8-14 1 Tim 2:11-12 “A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.”

12 The True Issues: Are wives to be in subjection to their husbands in the home? Eph 5.22f Eph 5:22-24 “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.”
