Introduction Lights! Camera! Action! No, I'm not talking about just films. I am talking about animated feature films. They actually take the spotlight of how creative a movie can get. Although, animation did not start that way. From computer made and stop motion, it actually started as a invention.

How it began? It first started by a British doctor named John Paris using thaumotrope. It was a small circular disk with two different pictures that was attached to a piece of string. When the string is twirled, the two pictures appear to combine into a single image. A flip book was made by John Linnet. Pictures flip in high speed show effect.

Animation in the late 20 th century Feature length animated films soon became popular in America with movies such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. CGI was computer made animation. This type of animation became famous after Toy Story, which was the first to use CGI.

The Future CGI soon became the “magic” for Hollywood movies. Only action and special effects. Animation soon became involved with business, such as advertisement and commercials.

Conclusion That’s how just basic picture connected to a string goes to support and make famous films such as Avatar and Up. Even though with that big step taken in the last 25 years, animation still evolves today as we speak.
