4. Flight Data Monitoring
The LOMS (Line Operations Monitoring System) is able to:
Record what happens during the flights
Process quantitative data extracted from the Flight Data Recorder (QAR) in order to measure the deviations from a standard flight path
Correlate data for trend analysis and fleet operation assessment

The progress of the flight is presented is presented on a PC screen that can be easily understood by operationally qualified people

6. Line Operations Assessment
The LOMS allows to detect the  ’what’s’ but the ‘why’s’ have also to be understood
The Line Operations Assessment System (LOAS) is a computer program dedicated to collect and analyse the observations made by Check Captains trained to use a system of crew behavior notation with a scoring method
The resultant scores are used to evaluate patterns of group behavior
