1 Alabama Reading and Math Test Who – All students 3-8 grade (ARMT and SAT) When – April (Parent reports – late summer) What – Your child was measured against a pre - established set of standards (objectives)

2 The Test The Score- comes from some items of the SAT( the ones that match our state standards) and all items of the ARMT Types of items- multiple choice questions, gridded responses and open-ended questions Sections- are scored and results reported with a scaled score (comes from raw score) with corresponds to an Achievement Level.

3 Achievement Levels Level 1 Does Not Meet Standards Level 2 Partially Meets Standards Level 3 Meets Standards Level 4 Exceeds Standards

4 You can see your child’s scaled score and corresponding achievement level on the left hand side of the student report. Students who scored at Levels 3 and 4 have and understanding of grade level standards/materials. You will also find a list of content standards measured in each area.
