6. It’s estimated that there is approx 100 million tons of illegal garbage lying around in the world. Waste is not just an esthetic issue – it’s also about health, cooperation and responsibility. We need to stop looking away from the waste and start looking at it as an unused resource. To build up awareness and start addressing the illegal dumping problem we need to: Monitor the situation in detail; Engage local communities actively in the process; Engage local authorities actively in the process; Analyze the data to design and execute a cooperation action.
