13 What’s in it for ME? Belong to the OrRTI Family Sub-Grant $ “If you’re in it for the money, you are not very good at math…” (Un-named OrRTI Staffer)

14 What’s in it for ME? Structured guidance and PD to better serve all students and make meaningful SLD decisions – Leadership symposiums – Regional and on-site mini conferences/trainings – On-site training and coaching – Visits lab schools – Phone and email consultation – Access to website

15 Application Process ODE posts application in springapplication http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?=2502 – District leaders notified – Posted on OrRTI website Applications reviewed by OrRTI, ODE, EBISS & PBIS Applications evaluated based on: – Infrastructure (Ready?) – Consensus (Willing?)

16 WILLING (Consensus across key stakeholders to participate) NOT WILLING (Little or no desire among key stakeholders to participate) READY (Basic foundation of RTI infrastructure is established) Implementation Participation: These districts have installed key foundations of RTI infrastructure (At a minimum research-based core reading curriculum and universal screening) and there is consensus across the district to actively participate in the project. These districts would participate fully. Non-Participant: These districts have not yet established basic infrastructure without support from OrRTI and they do not desire active participation in the project. These districts may not see “what’s in it for them” to receive support from OrRTI in their work. They may, however, passively seek technical assistance from our online postings and guidance. NOT READY (Basic foundation of RTI infrastructure NOT established) Readiness Participation: These districts want to participate in the project but have not yet installed systems to support basic RTI functions. These districts would be provided limited guidance and support for installing beginning components. Non-Participant: These districts posses neither the desire nor the basic infrastructure for participating in the project. These districts may passively seek information on “what is RTI” “what does it mean” from online postings and guidance.
