3 -Ministry-approved programs that allow students while they are still in secondary school, to take college or apprenticeship courses

4 - courses count towards both the students’ (OSSD) and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, or degree, or an apprenticeship certification

5 Maximum of 4 (Dual Credits) optional credits towards OSSD Course code ends: 4T - Dual Credit & 4Y - OYAP Many delivery approaches No cost to the student Role of the Dual Credit Teacher will vary according to the delivery model

6 - Does not align with Growing Success policy - Assessment & Evaluation follow College guidelines - Grades assigned by college instructors/professors must not be adjusted - Passing grades may differ from college to college

7 3 Student Groups: -Disengaged and underachieving but with the potential to succeed (Primary Target Group) -SHSM students enrolled in college- delivered programs -OYAP students

8 (Primary Target Group) Disengaged and Underachieving numerous absences in need of career clarification lack of involvement or engagement in school or community activities credit deficient older than other students in their grade demonstrating a decline in achievement or marks over time

9 (Primary Target Group) Potential to Succeed has completed most or all of compulsory credits can potentially graduate within one year demonstrates issues previously preventing success have been addressed motivated to improve skills and work habits demonstrates appropriate maturity level

10 Integrated Secondary Students take classes with college students Congregated Secondary Students are in classes together

11 - ½ day / week - 1 or 2 full days / week - 2-5 days / week (May/June Model & Level 1) Best suited for: - Co-op Students - Alternative Education

12 Gen. Ed. courses (Sociology, Psychology, Health Literacy etc.) ICT and Multimedia (Digital Design, Gaming, Operating & Sound Systems) Career-Specific (ECE, Police Foundations, Spa Mgmt., Fashion, Culinary, Horticulture, Physical Ed.) Arts (Acting, Dance, Drawing, Design)

13 Allows students to explore before committing to skill trades Majority of students will not have a RTA Course code ends with 4T Option for secondary schools with limited skill trades facilities Purposeful planning  Level 1?
