7 Training Classes Rec/Touring Kayak May 14 - Quick Start May 21 - Essentials Whitewater June 4&5 - Essentials June 25&26- River Kayaking July 9&10 - Whitewater *These trainings are one of the most cost effective ways to get into the sport!

8 Required Safety Session Tuesday May 3 - 7 pm Cab Calloway School for the Arts - Wilmington Classroom Session Safety River Features & Signals Self Rescue Packing essentials Pool Session Swim length of pool Exit from capsized boat Bring bathing suit & towel

9 Recreational & Touring Kayaking Sit on Top Recreational Kayaks Wide and stable 10’ - 16’ long Good for flat water; clear weather Entry level Touring Kayaks Longer and less wide 15’ - 18’ long Faster Ability to carry gear

21 Gear Kayaks, paddles, PFDs and helmets are available for rental at a very reasonable rate Students are responsible for transporting or coordinating the transportation of their equipment
