Representatives In order to achieve harmonization and efficiency, the Council will consist of (45) members including the Chairman towards securing a balanced participation by all the relevant groups. Council Advantages, objectives: Affirm the importance of the good labor regulations and nature of the professional relationship in laying down the grounds for a successful and modern market economy, avoiding the negative impacts of social conflicts, reaching agreement and harmony between the social parties, and meeting the requirements for a sound economic prosperity. The Council commutes: In order insure the smooth flow of the Council s works, the project provides for forming five permanent and specialized committees along with special mechanisms needed for the Council s work and decision making toward reaching consensus in terms of strengthening the social dialogue. Royal Decree granting approval for establishing the Council: The Royal Decree has been issued for approval of this council according to Regulation No 117 for the year 2007 (Socioeconomic Council Regulation) based on Article 120 of the constitution on 2/12/2007. This has been transformed from a law into a regulation, and the draft law has been slightly amended in terms of limiting the right to demand consultation to the state institutions only. The Royal Decree has been issued for approval of this council according to Regulation No 117 for the year 2007 (Socioeconomic Council Regulation) based on Article 120 of the constitution on 2/12/2007. This has been transformed from a law into a regulation, and the draft law has been slightly amended in terms of limiting the right to demand consultation to the state institutions only.
