9 Queen Elizabeth I Queen Elizabeth I -Ruled from 1558-1603 -Known for being a virgin queen queen -Her name became synonymous with the time period, thus it is also known as the Elizabethan era -She loved all art forms and was a great admirer of Shakespeare’s works

10 King Henry VIII King Henry VIII -He ruled from 1509 to 1547 -He is famous for having SIX wives: He insisted that he be allowed to divorce his wives, but, ultimately killed three anyway. -he is infamous for beheading several wives for not bearing him an heir.

11 Living in London Living in London -London was a damp, dirty, and crowded city. Many of its inhabitants were religious. -The Black plague: during this time period a plague spread throughout the city. It was caused by poor sanitation. As a result, theaters were forced to close.
