1 Radar Video Surveillance

2 Radar Video Surveillance (RVS)
Detect Track Respond Automates Detection, Tracking, and Video Response Identifies potential threats before they reach the perimeter Deployed as a Product, not as a Project Utilizes Radar and CCTV to their Strengths

3 Detection Sensors Marine Radar – Long range detection of vessels on waterside perimeters Automatic Identification System (AIS) – Transponder based detection for waterside applications Ground Radar (Short Range) – High resolution detection and classification up to 300 meters Ground Radar (Long Range) – High resolution detection and classification up to 5 kilometers Video Analytics – Detection and classification behind buildings and other obstructions

4 RVS Tracking Data from multiple sensors ‘fused’ into one display to provide situational awareness Full featured geospatial map allows operator to view areas of interest Custom alarm zones filter out activity in operational areas User defined rules allow tuning of system to reduce false alarms Tracked objects or ‘targets’ are prioritized using the rules for that facility Targets are ignored once the operator acknowledges an alarm Multiple configurations change maps, alarm zones, and rules for different security readiness levels

5 Threat Response Honeywell EBI – Alarms processed in the same screen and format as all other alarms. Unique responses available through scripting. Pro-Watch Alarms – In the same screen and format as all other alarms. Acknowledging alarm causes target to be ignored. CCTV Response – DVM steers camera, displays image, and records activity. Record rate and pre-record times are configurable. Most Cameras Supported – DVM supports industry standard camera interfaces such as Pelco.

6 RVS vs. Video Analytics Video Analytics RVS 24 cameras for detection
Partial coverage Several Cameras to Identify Extensive set up, tuning Daylight operation only Highly susceptible to weather 1 radar for detection Full coverage Several Cameras to Identify Less set up, maintenance 24 hour detection Less susceptible to weather

7 RVS at Geismar, Louisiana

8 RVS at Houston Bush and Hobby Airports
Protecting 30 miles of perimeter at Bush Intercontinental, 6 miles at Hobby Bush is currently patrolled my mounted police Combination of long range / short range radars Persons detected at up to 5 km Long range color / thermal cameras controlled automatically for assessment RVS is integrated with Pro-Watch and DVM for Command & Control DVM 200 provides Video Analytics for areas not in radar line of sight
