Presentation of System  The distance learning system «Kherson Virtual University», version 2.0 (DLS) was developed at Kherson State University in 2003 as a prototype of system Blackboard 5  DLS is developed according to the requirements and specifications of international standards IMS, SCORM, it has the Client-server architecture and is intended for distance learning support at universities

Users’ Rights  The registered users can have the following rights:  administrations - management of news, roles of users, system documents, catalogues of groups and library sections;  managements of educational process - the tutor of distance learning group, management of interrogations, glossaries, forum, chat, video conferences.

System Characteristics  DLS has the basic characteristics :  Access providing to resources of training by means of the Internet;  Packing and distribution of educational modules;  Creation and database storage of electronic learning resources (lectures, textbooks, courses, tests etc.) in a format of IMS standard, import and export;  Support of group network;  The organization of distance learning according to curricula;  Testing;  On-line users’ dialogue with use of forum, chat, video- conferences;  Informing about results of educational process.

9. Technical Requirements  DLS meets the basic technical requirements:  Windows Server 2008  Microsoft.Net Framework v4.0.30319  Web Server IIS v. 6.0  MS SQL Server 2008  DLS installation is distributed on separate compact discs

10. Statistic data of DLS using  DLS is widely used at KSU:  More than 10000 users, more than 3000 registered;  More than 5000 learning resources in e-library with free access;  100 distance learning courses;  200 distance learning groups;  More than 1000 daily visitors (Google Analytics).

Specifications of QMS  The service of quality monitoring is intended for monitoring of ELR quality by criterion of their conformity to the international educational standards.  The service of quality estimation makes evaluation of ELR on the basis of the confirmed criteria taking into account opinion of users - both students, and teachers by Feedback Service.  The service of ELR support and modernization carries out the organization, planning and performance of works on improvement of their quality by modernization, realization of new didactic properties and possibilities of ELR.

Development Prospects  Development prospects:  Development of DLS Virtual Laboratories;  Development of Interactive Whiteboard;  Development of Interactive Systems of training on the basis of role games;  Mobile Devices Support;  Adaptation of system for users with the limited possibilities.
