2 HUMANITARIAN ACTION COMMITTEE MEETING - LIBERIA SECTORAL UPDATE – Education NIMBA Bahn Refugee camp (SC-UK) 1596 children age 3-18 reached with education/ECD services and materials in 2 school compounds. Buutuo Axis (SC-UK) 1,000 children (640 Lib) and 28 teachers (22 Lib) reached with distribution of supplies 78 children reached with ECD services

Gborplay axis (Plan) 646 Ivorian children and 1565 Liberian children reached in 3 ECD centers and primary school assistance and CP services Logwato axis (IRC) 2395 children (2,156 Lib) and 23 teachers reached with supply distribution, hygiene promotion, recreational activities

5 HUMANITARIAN ACTION COMMITTEE MEETING - LIBERIA CHALLENGES for the EDUCATION SECTOR Less than 3,000 refugee children reached!!!! In BUTUO axis education services provided only in 2/6 designated communities due to lack of refugees. IN GBORPLAY axis refugees in host communities not accessing food. Lack of access to school feeding for Ivorian students affects attendance Unknown number of refugee children at the border do not access schools or safe spaces Lack on systematic data concerning the situation of Ivorian (and other) children living in border areas.
