The main goal of the project is to develop a new platform of contemporary music that proceeds from current European cultural contexts

CoPeCo (2010 – 2013) The joint masters curriculum will be developed in two years During the third year it will be tested with students’ participation to make adjustments Joint admission will be opened in spring 2013

Innovative Aspects

1. Crossdisciplinary approach Up-to-date crossdisciplinary broad-based study of music in the context of contemporary cultural background. Lectures on contemporary dance, literature, visual arts, cinema, theatre included in the programme Crossdisciplinary collaboration projects with departments of choreography, art academies, theatre academies etc.

2. Active cooperation between composition and performance departments Joint study platform for students of composition and performance. The study programme is organized offering intensive cooperation and interaction between the students and the departments

3. New perspectives Integrating studies of free improvisation and experimental music into the curriculum of contemporary music

4. New technology Study of music technology for students of composition and interpretation. Preparation for creating projects with live electronics and multimedia Study of new media. Preparation for creating and presenting artistic projects by the means of new media

5. Arts management Production and management of an artistic project in collaboration with departments of Cultural management
