In Singapore, however, you’ll find a lot of food from China; you won’t have any problem getting rice, noodles or dumplings. Singapore is also an excellent place to try new food. However, if you go to see lions, tigers or foxes during the daytime, they’ll probably be asleep! A lot of animals only wake up at night, so this is the best time to watch them. At the Night Safari, you can watch these animals in a more natural environment than in a normal zoo. seem 可用作连系动词或不及物动词,意为 “ 似乎;好像 ” ,其常 见用法现归纳如下 (1)“ 主语 + seem + ( to be ) + 表语 ” ,表语多 为名词或形容词,有时是其他的词或短语,以说明主语的特征 或状态。例如: e.g. Tom seems ( to be ) a very clever boy.

例如: e.g. Mrs Green doesn’t seem (或 seems not ) to like the idea. (3) “It seems + that 从句 ” ,其中 it 是形式主语, that 引导 主语从句。例如: e.g. It seems that no one knows what has happened in the park. e.g. It seems to me that Mr. Brown will not come again.

17 One great thing about Singapore is that the temperature is almost the same all year around. This is because the island is so close to the equator. So you can choose to go whenever you like — spring, summer, autumn or winter. And, of course, it’s not too far from China! whenever 无论何时 e.g. I’ll discuss it with you whenever you like. e.g. Whenever she comes, she brings a friend.
