3 Notes on Theme Theme is:
The general idea or main point of a story. It provides a message about life, from the author’s point of view. Theme is NOT: The subject of the story or the topic of the story.

7 Theme Tracker Each lesson for Fahrenheit 451 will focus on a new theme. Keep track of these themes in your theme tracker. At the end of the unit, you will have to write a short essay based on one of these themes. The more notes you write, the better prepared you will be! You may use this worksheet for your exam.
