Adobe Creative Cloud Completed purchase in Dec. Rolled out in December –Made the installation packager available for Site License Coordinators around campus –Distribution through SCCM and other items –December’s Powerpoint provides instructionsDecember’s Powerpoint How has rollout gone? –Enough resources? 3

Adobe Creative Cloud: Details License: –Coverage: 100% Acrobat, 35% CreativeCloud Percentages are based on # of computers, not number of FTE –Includes: Acrobat for all University machines Creative Cloud for Fac/Staff & Student labs No cloud services (storage, etc.) Deployment tools $10/year home use for fac/staff 4

Adobe CC Home Use Because Adobe was closed over the holidays, we did not review this in Dec. –We began discussion with Adobe two weeks ago –Meeting with Kivuto to determine distribution next week –Key limits: The number of home use license is limited to the number of on-campus users You must have a business case to get Adobe to obtain the home use product 5

Adobe Day Purchasing is coordinating an Adobe Day for Feb. 26 –Looking for a larger room or lecture hall available that day –Second day may be added for product- specific sessions, Feb. 27 Adobe will bring out techs to show us how to use the products we just bought, as well as give information about future tech. 6

MS Office 365 OSU Purchasing and OCIO are working together on this Timeline: –Student O356 is now scheduled for July 2015 –Faculty/Staff O365 will be a separate project begun after that. There are technical and tenant issues that need to be resolved before Fac/Staff O365 can be rolled out. 7

Qualtrics Purchase made in December –We added on all additional modules –Enterprise-level product –Working on rollout for the past six weeks 8

Qualtrics: Modules OSU Purchasing negotiated all additional modules for Qualtrics, enterprise wide, with $30k in savings. These include: –Salesforce integration –File Upload –Offline Surveys –SMS Surveys –API Integration Additionally, you’ll receive a 5% discount on all professional services from Qualtrics 9

Qualtrics Survey Templates –Purchasing has worked with Institutional Research to provide an initial template for Qualtrics surveys –Template will include proper branding and help users know that the survey is legitimate. –Next slide shows template mockups Single Sign On –We have integrated with Shibboleth to allow for ease of account creation and migration. 10

Qualtrics Theme Preview 11

Qualtrics Questions and Answers: –I have important ongoing surveys in Survey Monkey/Gizmo/etc. What about them? We’ll review them on a case-by-case basis, but the intent is not to create a hardship. If we can’t migrate you smoothly, you will get to keep your license another year. –I already have a departmental Qualtrics account: what happens to it? It can remain separate, or be migrated in. We hope to migrate all of them in eventually. –How do I get Qualtrics? Well, I’m so glad you asked… 12

Qualtrics Getting Qualtrics –Existing accounts need to be migrated over to the enterprise solution Migration involves about a 3 hour window when you can’t log in to view your surveys, but survey collection is *not* impacted –New accounts will be granted through Shib authentication at osu.qualtrics.com (once up and ready) 13

Qualtrics Instructions –Instructions for access will be posted via OCIO Self Service as soon as they are ready –We may make use of upgrade codes to ensure that fac/staff have less limited access than students. If this is the case, we will include them in the instructions uploaded to Self Service Expect a rollout announcement shortly 14

Renewals SAS –Codes have been mailed: Codes hard-failed on Jan 1. Extension codes were emailed out to customers in late Dec. Permanent annual codes were mailed in early Jan. –Delay in codes was caused by questions revolving around funding, and SAS closing for the holidays on Dec. 24 (and not reopening until Jan. 6) 15

Renewals JMP –Licenses expired Nov. 30, codes received earlier this week –Codes mailed out to individual users on 1/27. –SAS incorrectly invoiced OSU, causing this delay Sigmaplot –Licenses extended, available in self-service and emailed to customers on Jan. 2 –V. 13 released 16

IBM Audit The audit is coming along: we are meeting to formally scope next week If you know of IBM software in your environment, please let me know. –It needs to be reviewed and determined if we are including it. –SPSS is officially out-of-scope for this audit. 17
