Matthew 26:26-29 Matthew 26:26-29 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." 27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."

John 14:2 2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Philippians 1:21-23 2 Corinthians 5:1-2

At the end of our lives, that is why we are here. At the end of our lives, that is why we continue in loyalty, serving, helping, keeping oneself away from the world, and also listening and obeying God’s laws…Heaven! We truly believe in it. We know heaven exist regardless of what men invent or teach today regarding the abode of God. I want to revive this morning, your desire to still want to go to that beautiful place, where God is waiting eagerly for you and I!

If at the end of this life, you miss heaven, or you do not enter heaven, it will be because you did not believe in it one hundred percent, and you did not put the very strong effort in order to enter it! Jesus says: Matthew 7:13-14 13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus Revelation 22:20 (NKJV) 20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

A Place of Rest – “His rest…for the people of God” – Heb. 4:1, 9 – Rest from earthly hardships  Rest from labors – Rev. 14:13  Rest from troubles/afflictions – 2 Thess. 1:7  Rest from all want/need – Rev. 21:23; 22:1- 5 1 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” 7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 22 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

A Place of Reaping – Faithful labor is promised reward – 1 Cor. 3:14  Your labor is not in vain in the Lord – 1 Cor. 15:58  Lay up treasures in heaven – Matt. 6:20 – “We shall reap if we do not lose heart” – Gal. 6:9  You will reap more than you sow  You will reap longer than you sow  You will reap later than you sow 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

A Place of Rejoicing – No place for sorrow – Rev. 21:4 – “Well done…enter into the JOY of your Lord”  In the presence of God – Psa. 16:11; Rev. 21:3  Always be with the Lord – 1 Thess. 4:17  Absent from this body – 2 Cor. 5:6-8  Great victory over the devil – Rev. 12:11-12  Worship for all eternity – Rev. 15:2-3  Far better to be with Christ – Phil. 1:21-23 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” 11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” 2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. 3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! 21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

A Place of Righteousness – Righteousness dwells there – 2 Peter 3:13  Those who practice righteousness – 1 John 3:7  And He who is righteous – 1 John 3:7 – Free from all unrighteousness  Nothing enters that defiles, unclean, lie – Rev. 21:27  Outside are immoral, murderer, idolater – Rev. 22:15  No one not found in Book of Life – Rev. 20:15 – Get away from the filth of this world! 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

A Place of Responsibility – Not a place of idle inactivity – Inhabitants will worship & praise God – Rev. 15:3 – “His servants shall serve Him” – Rev. 22:3  Faithful servants rewarded with responsibility – Mt. 25  Direct proportion to how ability was used – Lk. 19:16-19 3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

A Place of Reunion – “Gathered to his people” – Gen. 25:8; Num. 27:13 – “I shall go to him” – 2 Sam. 12:23 – “Sit down w/ Abraham, Isaac & Jacob” – Mt. 8:11 – Saints reunited – 1 Thess. 2:19-20 – Redeemed of all time – Rev. 14:3-4 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people. 13 And when you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered. 23 But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.” 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? 20 For you are our glory and joy. 4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
