Measure out between 0.45 and 0.55 gram of sodium carbonate and react with enough acid to totally consume the carbonate

Record the mass of carbonate

Record the mass of all chemicals and equipment Acid in pipettes

Measure all equipment and unused acid.

1.Calculate the moles of sodium carbonate used. 2. Calculate the grams and moles of Carbon Dioxide produced. 3. Write out a balanced equation for the reaction. The products are salt solution, water and carbon dioxide. 4. The ratio of carbonate to CO 2 should be 1.0. Calculate your mole ratio and find the % error in your work.
