2 Appearance, Cleanliness & Maintenance Uniforms shall be kept clean, neat and good repair Shirts, pants and belts should be clean, should not be wrinkled, no missing buttons, no Irish pennants, no holes and all insignias and devices properly placed. Covers,.

3 Appearance, Cleanliness & Maintenance Shoes should be highly polished in their entirety, not just the toe area. Pay attention to the sole & heel and seemed area. They need polish too! Hats should be clean well-fitting. Combination covers and chin straps should be tight. Eagles on the hat buttons should be in the upright position.

4 Appearance, Cleanliness & Maintenance Insignia and devices shall be clean and bright and free from tarnish and corrosion. Metal polish such as Brasso will remove plating and should NOT be used for cleaning purposes. Gold buttons, which become tarnished should be cleaned with vinegar, followed by a thorough washing in clean water.

5 Dry Cleaning (cleaners) and Laundering (washing machine & dryer) All black trousers, slacks, skirts may be machine washed. DRY CLEAN ONLY: Relaxed Fit Jacket Service Dress Blue Coat Garrison Cap
