3 Where in the Solar System is Earth? Earth is the third planet in our solar system. It is one of the Inner Planets. Earth is 150 km or 93 million mi from the Sun.

7 Fun Facts About 70% of the world’s fresh water is stored as glacial ice. Earth is referred to as the BLUE PLANET. WHY? Because from space, the oceans combined with our atmosphere make our planet look blue. Earth is the only planet on which water can exist in liquid form on the surface. Earth travels through space at 66,700 miles per hour. Only 3% water of the earth is fresh, rest 97% salted.
