Forest Floor and Understory
The forest floor and understory are the two lowest layers .The forest floor is the lowest layer of the rainforest. And the forest layer has a lot of plants. It has a little more light and has butterflies, snakes, and small animals.

Introduction The tropical rainforest are important .Rainforest are located near the equator and are areas of heat and lots of rain. In the world rainforests are found in southern Asia , South America , Africa ,Central America , and the Pacific islands. There are four layers of the rainforest. There are a lot of plants and animals in the rainforest. That’s why rainforests are important to us.

Canopy and Emergent layer
The canopy and the emergent layers are the two highest layers. The canopy is the third layer. It has butterflies. A lot of birds live there. It is a home of a lot of trees and plants.

Products/Supplies We get a lot of products from the rainforest. We get fruit and vegetables from the rainforest. Here are some examples: orange, pineapples and lemons. We even get cinnamon and coconut. My favorite thing we get from the rainforest is cocoa and vanilla. We get useful things from the rainforest.

Appearance The caiman is a rainforest animal. They look like alligators and crocodiles. Their color can be green , gray, brown or black. They have scaly skin. Those are all of the appearance of a caiman.

Habitat A caiman mostly live in Central America or South America. They live near waters in rainforest and they live in tropical rivers and lakes. They also live in mangroves, marshes and swamps. They live on the forest floor. Caimans live mostly anywhere in the rainforest.

Diet This is the diet of a caiman. They are carnivores. So that means they only eat meat . They eat fish, insects, birds and any other animals they can catch. They even eat small mammals and reptiles. That is the diet of a caiman.

Predators and Prey The caimans has some predators. They all are Humans, Jaguars and anacondas. Its preys are fish, insects, birds and any other small mammals. Caimans are threatened.

Adaptations It has strong jaws. They have the ability to swim so they can swim away fast. My animal survive That is how a caiman survives in the Amazon Rainforest.

Interesting Facts The smallest caiman is called the dwarf caiman. The dwarf caiman is just over a meter in length. The largest caiman is called a black caiman and it can grow over a meter in length. Caimans are nocturnal. Those are all the interesting facts about a caiman.
