5 3/4 Learning Community Homeroom All three teachers will have a 3/4 homeroom of approximately 25/26 students.

6 Language Arts (Reading/Writing) Data from PSSA, MAP, Storytown Assessments, DRA scores, and teacher observations will determine placement. Approximately 25/26 students in each class Mr. Fachet – Grade 3 Mrs. Hennigan – Grade 4 Mrs. Borger/Mrs. Corboy (Reading) Mrs. Borger/Mrs. Sanders, formerly Miss Weinert (Writing) Grades 3/4 for students who require a highly structured environment, direct instruction, and additional repetition of skills/concepts.

7 Math Data from PSSA, MAP, Everyday Math Assessments, and teacher observations will determine placement. Approximately 25/26 students in each class. Mr. Fachet – Grade 3 Mrs. Borger – Grade 4 Mrs. Hennigan/Mrs. Sanders Grades 3/4 for students who require a highly structured environment, direct instruction, and additional repetition of skills/concepts.

8 Learning Community Activities Students will report back to homeroom after lunch three times per cycle for activity based learning activities (i.e. problem-solving, literature circles, fair test design, team building, etc.)

9 Science Social Studies Grade 3 Science – Mr. Fachet (21) Grade 3 Social Studies – Mrs. Sanders (21) Grade 4 Science – Mrs. Borger (18) Grade 4 Social Studies – Mrs. Hennigan (17)

10 Specials Students will attend all specials – Music, Art, Wellness/Fitness, Spanish, & Library as a grade level by class (i.e. half of grade 3 in music and half in Wellness/Fitness). When grade 3 students are in specials, grade 4 students will be in science and social studies. When grade 4 students are in specials, grade 3 students will be in science and social studies.
