2 Where is Göteborg within Sweden? Sometimes spelt as “Gothenburg,” this funny- sounding city is located near Sweden’s western coast.

3 Where is it within Europe? Located approximately halfway between the capitals of Denmark and Norway, toward the north-central area of the continent of Europe.

4 Waterways GötaÄlv: drains Lake Vänern into the Kattegat; 93 km GötaCanal: Swedish canal constructed in the early 19 th century; 190 km, stretches from Gothenburg to the Baltic Sea
