2  The mission of the Mammoth Schools NOW Education Foundation is to enhance educational excellence in the public schools of Mammoth Lakes through partnerships and fundraising to support programs that improve school culture, facilities, and academic flexibility.

3  In 2009, The Gregory Family donated $250,000 for the inception of the Independent Study Center at MHS which increased class offerings and academic flexibility for all students  Recently approved funding for Online Assessment Reporting System which facilitates the collection, reporting, and analysis of periodic student assessment  Support for the MES Dual Immersion Interns  Will be supporting the MMS College/ Career Fair

6  Mammoth Middle School was awarded California Distinguished School Award in 2009  The Mammoth High School is eligible to apply for the same honor this year  Newsweek Magazine ranked Mammoth High School in the top 4% of high schools in the United States last year. (Based on percentage of students taking and passing AP exams).

10  During our Inaugural Fund Drive we are asking every parent to commit to their child’s education  We are asking community members and second- home owners to commit to their community  The Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation has committed their support  Collaborating on Wine Auction event with Mammoth Lakes Foundation during the Blue Sky Festival

11  Nationwide trend towards development of Educational Foundations to support public schools with private funding  Mutual benefit -- community involvement = good schools = higher property values  We have a committed and involved parent group who values education  Our business community is very generous of our school site organizations
