5 Displaying Available Reports Click on “Folders”

6 Displaying Available Reports These have been tested by HIS and are known to be accurate These have been created By CSDW users and shared. Not tested by DPH/HIS From DHHS Main Document, work your way through the sub folders to see the folders within HIS

7 Finding A Report AR reports, debt set-off, bad debt Paid / Denied / Activity Diagnosis counts By age, sex, preferred language, etc. By program, RRG, provider, demographics Meaningful Use, audit Paid by guarantor, site, RRG Created for specific programs Allows entry of multiple RSCs No results for opt out agencies Results for all types of users

9 Entering Parameters - RSC This is a defaulted date and will change when your report renders Click this to refresh List of RSCs

10 Entering Parameters - RSC Then highlight your RSC and click the arrow to the right

11 Entering Parameters – Date Range Click this to change year Click this to change month Then click on the day to save the setting Do the same for the End Date and click Run Query

13 Report Output – by Program Tab Counts are unduplicated within each program, so client can be counted in multiple programs

14 Report Output – by Agency Tab Counts are unduplicated across all programs, so client is counted once regardless of how many programs services were received in

15 Report Output – Detail/Verification Detail lists individual patient data used to calculate totals Detail sections often configured for easy export to Excel

16 Exporting Reports to Excel or PDF  Many reports are configured to export easily  Allows additional filtering and sorting  Column headings do not repeat on each page  Sort data (program, RSC, etc.) is in columns instead of headers.

17 Exporting to Excel (or PDF) 1) Click the down arrow to see Note: “Export Current Report As” Exports only the active worksheet, not the complete workbook 2) Select “Export Current Report As” and then “Excel” or “PDF”

18 Exporting to Excel (or PDF) After clicking the selected format (Excel or PDF), this dialogue box appears After checking “OK”, the spreadsheet opens in a new window

19 Exporting to Excel (or PDF) Now save the spreadsheet to your local drive, add filters or sort as needed.

20 Setting Application Preferences Click on the Preferences icon

21 Setting CSDW Post Log In View First, uncheck “Use Default Settings”

22 Setting CSDW Post Log In View 1) Check “Documents tab” 2) Then “Folders” 3) Then “Select Public Folder” and click “Browse Folder …”

23 Setting SCDW Post Log In View 1) Work your way down the folder structure until you get to “HIS”. Highlight it. 2) This will appear. Select “State Sanctioned” 3) Click “Open”

24 Setting SCDW Post Log In View Display switches back to this view “State Sanctioned” shows here Press “Save and Close”

25 Setting SCDW Post Log In View Click “OK” and the next time you log in, you will land at State Sanctioned

26 Summary: Know What Reports Are Available  Take time to run different reports  Monthly reports usually take less than 30 seconds to run  Choose a report for each category that you like and get familiar with it  If you are a batch county, routinely compare CSDW patient/visit counts with counts generated from your EMR
