3 Shipperless & Unregistered site working group The End User letter trial carried out in July and August 2007 took a relative sample of 1000 sites across the age profile of the USNANA data set. The extrapolated results indicate that 16% of sites should be confirmed as using gas. 19% are legitimately shipperless 29% are erroneous 36% may need a site visit to establish the status

4 Shipperless & Unregistered site working group A plot address sample of 365 sites concentrated on plots created in 2003 and 2004 and allowed us to update 26% to the correct address.

Code 12 MPRN requests Implement process for Shippers to feedback on cancellations Cancelled Services liaise with all parties to identify cancelled service lay jobs Redevelopments / Refurbishments Improve communication and system flows Plot addresses Do not create with same plot and similar matched postcode as likely duplicate Publish USNANA data set Virtual Notice board of MPRNs over 12 months old MPRN allocation process Alter allocation process to some point nearer the time gas consumed Notification if interest Introduce nomination stage for new domestic sites Requirement to focus on the M Number creation stage UIP states intended supplier UIP gathers indented supplier data and informs xoserve at point of MPRN request

7 Shipperless & Unregistered site working group Advantages  MPRN available to Shippers very early when undertaking meter fit. Disadvantages MPRN created as a result of cancelled jobs. A large number of plot addresses created on S&M. MPRNs created on S&M with no corresponding live service which could potentially be confirmed by shippers. MPRN allocated at Quote Acceptance current process xoserve allocate batch of MPRNs to UIP Customer requests new supply service quote UIP produces new supply service quote quote Customer accepts new supply service quote UIP allocates MPRN and informs job requester of MPRN UIP sends MPRN creation request to xoserve via Conquest EFT file xoserve investigate the MPRN creation request and either file UIP lay new service xoserve investigate the MPRN creation request and either create of reject UIP ascertains intended supplier UIP informs xoserve of intended supplier
