1. Pershore High School Acid Rain Project

2. About Our Project….  Three groups of year nine students collected samples of rain water from their gardens.  The samples of water were then tested using pH meters (universal indicator paper is not precise enough).  We produced leaflets about the causes and effects of acid rain.

3. The Results  Despite choosing the driest two weeks in January, a large number of students managed to collect enough rainwater to test.  Click on one of the classes below to see their results: - 9Xw9Ya9Zn

4.  We also took samples of river and pond water around the school, here are the results: -  These results seemed very high, possible reasons could be; a faulty pH meter or lime (calcium oxide) being washed into the streams from nearby building work.
