There is no need to be able to write or understand HTML or any other program languages.

For communication – you will share your ideas, information, and creations with your class members and others on the Internet.
For interaction and discussion – you will exchange information, ideas, and comments with your classmates.
You will create something new that can be seen and/or used by others.
