God is with me in my pain “But the Lord was with Joseph” (v2,21,23) “and extended kindness to him” = loyal love

5 Matthew 28:20 “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

6 Hebrews 13:5–6 …He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid…”

God is with me in my pain Suffering alone can ruin you. But suffering + confidence in the presence of God can make you great.

God is with me in my pain God has a greater purpose for my pain Genesis 50:20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive…

God is with me in my pain God has a greater purpose for my pain Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

13 Jesus Was… hungry in the wilderness exhausted in Samaria angry at the temple heartbroken at Lazarus’ tomb anguished and afraid in the garden abandoned, arrested, beaten, stripped, tortured, and crucified in Jerusalem

14 Ephesians 5:2 …live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

15 Hebrews 2:18 For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
