10 IBS – IAQ Application To develop a BAS system for IAQ applications that is based on open system principles, domain standards and recommended practices, rule-based expert system, and Web technologies. The system should provide capabilities for FDD with user-defined, case-specific rules.

17 To implement the WFLN, a Field Level Network Radio Transceiver (FLNX) is mounted at the FLN device and a Field Panel Radio Transceiver (FPX) is mounted at the field panel. Both must be powered by 24 Vac. The radio’s antenna can either be direct or remote mounted. In cases where the radio transceiver is mounted in a metal enclosure, the remote mount antenna would be used. The transceivers are plenum rated for direct mount without an enclosure. Once installed and powered, the radios automatically form the mesh network and the WFLN’s wireless mesh communication is virtually transparent to the system and end user.

30 Summary of IBS BACnet standard gaining acceptance worldwide
Interoperability effort is underway in building industries Almost all major BAS vendors are now subscribing BACnet Wireless-based sensors and controllers are starting to become available Very few enterprise business process/workflow is incorporating BAS Lack of easy-to-use, user-directed IBS
