4 Academic Eligibility A student must comply with the Academic Eligibility for Extracurricular Activities Policy(Policy #9070). Students must have earned a 2.0 GPA with no more than one failing grade during the previous quarter. 5 Drug and Alcohol Policy All students must comply with the Drug and Alcohol Policy(#9230). Use and/or possession, intent to distribute and/or distribution of drugs/alcohol/non-controlled substances is in violation of this policy and will result in a 30 day school suspension from extracurricular activities. A copy of the policy is located in the school office.

6 Hazing Definition “Any action taken or situation created that directly or indirectly embarrasses, humiliates, harasses, ridicules, or causes harm or mental or physical discomfort to another.” Typically involves a power differential Examples –Being cursed or sworn at –Being publicly embarrassed –Being pressured to participate in unsafe/illegal activities in order to belong

7 Charging at Events - HCPSS In accordance with HCPSS policy, we charge at the following events: –JV and Varsity Football –Events in the stadium held in “prime time” When the first game is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm or later Saturday Events –Basketball Games –Wrestling Matches Adult Tickets – $4.00 Student Tickets – $3.00 Special Events have a $5.00 charge Cheerleading Competitions Basketball Tournaments Indoor/Outdoor Track Meets Wrestling Tournaments

8 Charging at Events - MPSSAA The MPSSAA admission charge for regional events to $6 per ticket for everyone 7 years of age and older.

11 Fan Behavior Those who fail to abide by the Rules of Conduct, will be asked to leave the contest. 13 Senior Day Most of our varsity sports have a senior day recognition at the last home game (or one near the end). 19 Parent Concerns If you have concerns about anything regarding your son/daughter, please contact you child’s coach or Mr. Duffy. We want to remedy the situation as quickly as we can so that we can ensure a positive experience for all students. Concerns are treated with discretion so that students are not put in the middle. We have heard rumblings about retaliation if parents speak up. We need to know this.
