4. Facts About Aurora Continued Can occur on other planets like the one in the image below of an aurora occuring on the north pole of the planet Jupiter the other on Uranus

5. How They form They form when charged protons and electrons from the sun penetrate the earths magnetic field and collide with atoms and molecules in the atmosphere. The little collisions cause little bursts of light AKA photons witch in turn makes an aurora. Collisions with the oxygen produce the colors of the aurora.

7. When and Where do they Occur They occur mostly on 60to75 latitude but during some they can reach 30 or further some You can see this marvelous display of light on any night from dusk until dawn or if its dark but not Alaskan summer nights from May-July
