Performances Dress Rehearsal - Wednesday April 2 nd All Day (in school Field Trip) Thursday April 3 rd at 7:00pm (call time 5:00pm) Friday April, 4 th at 7:00pm (call time 5:00pm) Saturday April, 5 th at 7:00pm (call time 5:00pm) Thursday April 10 th at 7:00pm (call time 5:00pm) Friday April 11 th at 7:00pm (call time 5:00pm) Saturday April 12 th at 2:00pm & 7:00pm (call time 12:00pm Set Strike: Monday April 14 th 3:00pm – 5:30pm Tuesday April 15 th 3:00pm – 5:30pm (tentative) Wednesday April 16 th 3:00pm – 5:30pm (tentative)

Rehearsals Review Rehearsal Schedule General overview: Monday/Wednesday = Staging, Script Work, Acting Tuesday/Thursday = Music Rehearsals, Choreography Actors expected to attend only the rehearsals that they are listed in Full Cast = Everyone Full Cast (minus ____) = Everyone but _____ “Specific Names” = just those characters listed Progression of schedule and time requirements Early stages = shorter and more focused rehearsals Later stages = longer and more detailed rehearsals PLAN FOR CONFLICTS AND INFORM PRODUCER!

Set Building: All Cast and Crew are required to log 10 hours of set build per month Suggested 2.5 hours per week Set build days: Wednesday 5:30pm – 8:00pm Thursday 5:30pm – 8:00pm Saturday 9:00am – 2:30pm (30 minute lunch) Set build during rehearsals Parent involvement Policy: If students do not meet the required 10 hours of set build per month, they will be required to make up the missing hours within the first week of the following month. If students do not make up the missing hours, this will count as 1 strike against their “3 strikes” Expectations and requirements can change (but will never increase)

8 Musical Requirement cont. Eligibility Students participating in ANY/ALL co-curricular groups, clubs, productions, and/or teams MUST meet district eligibility and attendance policies. This includes following the academic eligibility policy: “A student must maintain [a] passing grades in at least 5 credit courses on a weekly basis. If a student fails to meet this requirement, he/ she shall be suspended from the [musical] until the academic criteria is met. If a student does not maintain passing grades in at least 5 credit courses for a semester, that student shall lose eligibility for the following semester, even if the semester falls in a new school year. If at any time during the rehearsal process these requirements are not upheld, students will be removed from the group, cast, team, etc. and replaced.” 3 Strikes Policy: A participant becomes ineligible after 3 occurrences 3 unexcused absences – includes absences not identified on conflict sheet 6 unexcused tardies – each tardy counts as a 1/2 strike on the attendance policy Not meeting monthly set build requirements – 1 strike per month

9 Code of Conduct Students participating in ANY/ALL co-curricular groups, clubs, productions, and/or teams will be held accountable to the U-46 Code of Conduct as noted in the student handbook. The Code of Conduct policy is in place to ensure student respect, accountability, and safety. Infractions will be addressed on an “as needed” basis and consequences will be assessed accordingly.

10 Attendance Policy To have an effective theater program, including play performances, it is vital that participants are in attendance when called. Timeliness to rehearsals and performances promotes success, which in turn leads to greater achievement in all aspects of life. “3 Strike Policy” Unexcused = Full Strike Tardy (within 1 hour) = Half Strike Required attendance includes but is not limited to: rehearsals, set build, set strike, ticket sales (lunches), advertising distribution, performances, and other activities to promote the theater arts program at SHS
