2 WWF is one of the world’s largest and most experienced independent conservation organizations, with nearly 5 million supporters worldwide. Through programmes in more than 100 countries, WWF works to save the Earth’s most extraordinary places and species.

3 WWF employs a range of tools to achieve its conservation results. These include field research, scientific mapping, policy initiatives, market solutions and public education. WWF works closely with local communities and others who share the common goal of protecting the natural world.

4 World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF-Canada) was founded in 1967 It has become one of the country's leading conservation organizations WWF has the active support of more than 150,000 Canadians Deals with many program, one being the Conservation Program

5 Tackles some of the most daunting conservation challenges facing the country, as well as the broader international community. Safeguards the Arctic. Supports leading-edge research to protect Canadian wildlife and habitats. Addresses priority conservation concerns for North America. Protects Cuban wildlife and habitats.

7 “Community Panda” Raise awareness and funds to protect Canada's wildlife and wild places by organizing easy activities such as: holiday parties, bake sales, garage sales, birthday parties or a bike-a-thon. Instead of wedding favours, consider a gift on behalf of your guests to WWF-Canada.

8 Volunteer Provide assistance to annual special fund raising events. Join their “In-house Panda Team” who help with day to day administrative and clerical tasks.

11 Earth Hour The key objective for Earth Hour is to engage as many households, communities and business to turn their lights out for one hour on March 29 2008 from 8pm– 9pm. In 2008, Earth Hour will be taking place in over 20 cities around the world, and the list keeps growing. It is hoped that Earth Hour will grow into a global campaign. Earth Hour shows that, together, our small actions can make a difference to global warming.
