Reports from 2011 PH Sessions Great attendance and interest –Pre-meeting symposium Whats New in PAH (~120-140) Challenges in Lung Tranplantation (~150) CTEPH (~60) –Main Meeting Failing RV (>300) PH Complicating LV failure – sunrise (~120) Controversies in PH – currently being held –Scientific Sessions 2 oral Abstract presentations and 1 minioral – all very well attended –Satellite CME Meeting Basic science paired with clinical dilemmas on clinical applicability of prostacycline ~ 90 in attendance.

4. PH Council Initiatives for 2012 Meeting Suggestions and Proposals under consideration –Cross-fertilization with other Councils sharing similar interests Pediatrics, Heart Failure, MCS –Partnership with Junior Council to involve junior faculty in PH –Expand the focus on Right Ventricle –Pair basic scientists with clinicians to discuss a focused theme

PH Council Request to the Board of Directors and Programs Committee To continue our trajectory of growth: –Hope to continue to be able to: Spread PH related topics throughout the meeting Integrate different themes and presentations - case based/didactic discussion, pro/con, basic science/clinical management –Collaborate with the Programs Committee in formulating logistics of placement of symposiums
