9 Lisbon, 7th December 2002 Open Archives Forum Workshop Filtering & Recommendation Service learns the user information needs (folder profile) automatically from the users folder content Uses of folder profiles – To filter out irrelevant information during a search session – To automatically notify users about new documents, users, collections, communities relevant for them
