4 Conferences SIGMOD and PODS conferences –Submissions up, attendance strong, in the black for all 8 years of the current officers terms –Six co-located workshops and conferences last year, all did well –Working to internationalize In Europe in 2004 for the first time ever In Asia in 2007 –Radical changes to handle increasing SIGMOD submission rate, for 2005 and after (rebuttals, smaller PC, short/long presentations, carryover program with VLDB) In-cooperation for 5-10 other conferences every year
