2 RPD Mission The mission of the Reactor Physics Division it to: –Promote the advancement of theoretical, applied, and experimental research in reactor physics –Seek a better understanding of reactor physics –Seek a better understanding of reactor operations and in-core fuel management through the development and application of fundamental tools –Improve basic physical data –Test both tools and data in reactor experiments

Continue to support the national ANS initiative to revitalize utility involvement in the ANS. RPD support of Young Member Group requests and YMG participation on EC. Complete web site development/updates. Maintain newsletters on schedule. Improved use of recognition through Wigner Awards and Fellow nominations.
