2 ALSes Survey June 2010 RALO Q1-3 - Level of Representation of ALS Since they are mainly in national rather than regional, APRALO gives them huge chances to expand their network and look for synergies across Asia We can leverage their network and they can benefit from ours too and work together more. Also most of the ALS have a website and can provide a secondary contact

3 ALSes Survey June 2010 RALO Q4 - # of individual & organizational members in ALS Most of them have permanent members and some have paid members. Great variety in numbers can be witnessed which somewhat showcase the Asian Pacific region

6 ALSes Survey June 2010 RALO Q6b - Type of meetings your ALS has with its members? Most of them have face to face meetings, 50% of them Next popular one is telephone conference which occupies around 30% of the numbers

Chances aplenty for APRALO representatives to join the ALS meetings which take place regularly We can have a 5 to 10 minute section on their meeting and give them updates from APRALO which might be of use to them.

9 APRALO Recommendation 2 ALSes Survey June 2010 Working Language of your ALS English is the most commonly used language so most members of the APRALO would easily understand whats going on For other languages, we can simply use some APRALO representatives who can speak Chinese or Hindi and get them on the call wearing the APRALO Hat

13 ALSes Survey June 2010 RALO Q12 - Scale of 1 to 5, how well is your ALS integrated in the overall ALAC/RALO/ALS policy structure? Mean of 2.33 Means they are not so involved with the overall ALAC/RALO/ALS policy structure

More transparent budget planning at RALO and ALAC Direct point of contact between ALS and the ALAC and ICANN New working groups involving the ALS to try to engage them more Outreach activities to create more awareness about the role and significance of ICANN and ALAC
