2. “Extra to Budget” Spending Motions approved by AdCom frequently add expenses that are not in the budget Such expenses must be covered from: – addl revenues – Decreased expenses elsewhere – The 50% operational surplus spending rule Treasurer should comment on affordability of these motions

3. PSAC Issue with travel funding for elected members of ExCom Government cutbacks are the primary cause In the future some portion of travel expenses will be built into their conf budget For 2015 and 2016 this will result in lower than 15% return Motion to follow

4. Childcare Grants A grant for childcare removes liability from conf and enhances experience of Young Professionals NPSS would supply $2000 to each conf for up to $400 grants for childcare Will investigate liability issues for the conf providing a room with refreshments for parents to meet with peers while attending their children

5. TPS Page Charges TPS page charges are high compared to competing journals Belief is that this drives away potential authors TNS has no page charges Pubs decision is to eliminate TPS page charges Loss of ~$125k revenues in 2015 This will be built into 2016 and beyond budgets

6. SSIT Partnership SSIT looking for involvements that will result in addl revenue and hilighted importance NPSS awaits any proposal from SSIT
