The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge documentary will go out across the world and along with the national and international BBC and other media coverage of the Yorkshire Rows team this will provide an excellent stage for your brand. Yorkshire Rows is unique. Being 4 slightly older working mums we open up the opportunities to promote our sponsor’s messages and brands. Our social media, web presence and blog attract a variety of audiences and support is extremely strong. We will endorse your product through videos and photos of your product on our row. We have already proven ourselves through our achievement of being the 1 st women’s crew to successfully cross the North Sea. We will be able to use this experience on our up and coming Atlantic row and our extensive business experience in team building opportunities and motivational speaking to staff or clients.

6. The World’s Toughest Rowing Race Four women, one boat, one dream and a world record After taking on the North Sea and becoming the first women’s crew to ever row across it, the 4 working mums are taking on the Atlantic as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. We will row 2 hours on and 2 hours off, 24 hours a day. It will take us 40-90 days to cross 3000 miles. We will be facing 40 foot waves and will experience extreme sleep deprivation, salt sores, tankers, equipment issues and more in a boat 8 meters long by 1.7 meters wide. We will survive on dehydrated food and will have to desalinate sea water.

Inspiration & World Records As working mums we hope to inspire others, especially those who are pulled in so many different directions, that with effort, team work and application anyone can do anything. Yorkshire Rows have already set a ‘first’ by being the first women’s crew ever to successfully row across the North Sea. When we take on the Atlantic Challenge we will be the oldest crew of 4 to row any ocean! More people have been into space or climbed Everest than have successfully rowed an ocean and we aim to become one of the few to have achieved this. Yorkshire Rows is the first women’s crew to successfully row the North Sea We are aiming to break the world record for the oldest crew of four to row any ocean We are the only full crew of mothers to row an Ocean.

9. Our Charities Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres provide free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their families in a warm and welcoming environment. Cancer has touched the lives of all four of us so this cause means a lot to us. Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a local Yorkshire charity, providing a life saving service across the county. They are an independent charity relying completely on donations and need to raise around £12,000 a day to keep their helicopters maintained and in the air. We want to raise as much as we can for both of these wonderful charities
