2 Water Cycle The sun evaporates water which rises as water vapor Water vapor condenses into clouds The water droplets in the clouds become heavy enough to precipitate Precipitated water flows back into a body of water and restarts its process

3 Currents Wind patterns and temperature differences create currents The temperature of the current is influenced by the climate Wind blows warm currents into cold regions Wind blows cold currents into warm regions

4 Climate Bodies of water shape climate Cold bodies of water make the air cool Warm bodies of water make the air warm As land heats up, air blowing over the cool ocean to the warmer land cools it down For example, areas near a body of water will be cooler than inland
