1 AquaBlend Vs Dosatron D25
Technical Review

2 Competitive Analysis AquaBlend VsD25 Fully rotating lower end
Can adjust pump without spinning hose Ratio & percentage scales Larger printing that is always facing out for easy reading Quad adjustment treads Allows 4x quicker, smoother, and accurate injection setting Integrated adjustment lock Just click it to lock it! Complete tool free maintenance All service can be completed in the field without the need for tools Exact adjustment sights Arrows in the adjustment sight point to the precise setting Specifically engineered strainer/filter All plastic, chemically resistant, weighted, and designed not to clog

3 Specifications Dosatron – D25 AquaBlend Flow Range
0.05 – 11 GPM 10 – 2500 L/H Pressure Range 4.3 – 85 PSI 0.3 – 6 BAR 5 – 90 PSI 0.34 – 6.2 BAR Injection Range 500:1 – 50:1 0.2% - 2% 100:1 – 20:1 1% - 5% 200:1 – 20:1 0.5% - 5% AquaBlend 5% has a larger injection range than the Dosatron 5%. This make the unit more accurate at the popular 1% setting.

4 Lower End Service Tools Required No Tools Required LOWER END SCREWS
Dosatron AquaBlend Use a screw driver to remove the (4) screws holding the lower end Remove the lower end by turning counter-clockwise Why is this important? Maintenance on the AquaBlend is easier. No tools are required when working on the AquaBlend Tools Required No Tools Required

5 Dosatron shaft cannot be removed
Service and Repairs Dosatron AquaBlend Plunger Shaft cannot be removed Plunger shaft can be removed with a ¼ turn Why is this important? Maintenance on the AquaBlend is easier. The plunger seal is the most common wear item. For the D25, you can only replace the plunger seal by removing it from the shaft D25 Dosatron shaft cannot be removed Plunger Seal

6 Entire shaft can be removed and replaced on the AquaBlend
Converting from 2% to 5% Dosatron AquaBlend Plunger Shaft cannot be removed Plunger shaft can be removed with a ¼ turn Why is this important? Modularity. Pumps can changed from a 2% unit to a 5% unit simply by buying a kit, not an entire new unit. This saves money, and reduces inventory. Entire shaft can be removed and replaced on the AquaBlend

7 Motor Piston Design Screws on Dosatron motor sealed with O-rings
AquaBlend (4) Screws on the piston are sealed with o-rings Screws on the piston go into blind holes Why is this important? Improved performance at low flows. The use of thru holes and o-rings on the D25 creates a path for leaks. The AquaBlend cannot leak because the screw holes do not go thru the piston. This is critical in the first few days of a new flock. Screws on Dosatron motor sealed with O-rings Blind holes on AquaBlend no O-rings required

8 Dosatron arm not guided
Motor Piston Design Dosatron AquaBlend Poppet arm is not guided Poppet arm is guided Why is this important? Improved performance at low flows and increased life. By guiding the poppet arm, it is easier to seat on the chamfer. The reduced movement of the arm means the seal has less side to side movement, which reduces wear on the seal. Dosatron arm not guided AquaBlend arm guided

9 Motor Piston Design Dosatron springs on tight spring rails
AquaBlend Tight unsmoothed spring rails Specifically engineered spring rails Why is this important? Improved performance at low flows and spring life. By specifically engineering the spring rails, Hydro Systems has reduced friction and wear on the springs. The reduced friction of the arm means springs last longer.
